Mellow Melange & Friends I

Whenever possible Mellow Melange tends to perform live in an enhanced formation including guest musicians, as those who recently enriched our latest album "The Answer".

Blues- & rock guitarist Dave Goodman added absolutely new colours to the sound of Mellow Melange, refining it with the silvery sound of steel strings. Goodman enforces the rhythm of the band and electrifies the audience with outstanding solo performances. Now and then he even pushes up intense duels with brass-man Matthias Schinkopf.

On drums Stefan Ulrich joins in.

Finally the 'Melange' gets to an almost orchestral dimension in many of their titles when enlarged by the wonderful melancholy sound of Mariska Nijhoff's accordeon and even a string quartet, which does not serve with sweet flavour but with polyphonic structures of harmony and rhythm.
